Hello!

My name is Ri (like “rye” bread)! I write queer middle grade stories about the hard parts of being a kid, like losing someone you love, or feeling like an alien. I write about the fun stuff too, like playing dungeons & dragons, or how cool sharks are!

I have an MFA in fiction writing from Southern New Hampshire University and have published work in Earth Island Journal (so far)! I strongly believe that wandering is a good way to stir up stories, and when I’m not outside staring at mushrooms or swallowing salt water, I can be found inside listening to my favorite podcasts or curled up with a purring cat.

I also work as a full-time inventory coordinator and bookseller at House of Books in Kent, Connecticut.
